Its always fantastic to make a new discovery in your local area. Particularly, for me, when it involves crafty individuals.
So I was very pleased to find The Balham Craft Fair at The Bedford pub in Balham, a few weeks ago.
Set up by Emma Barrett in early 2012 because of a frustrating lack of venues to show & sell her own designs, it now attracts designers from all over London, and provides an affordable low-cost platform for the small-business crafter to showcase and sell their wares.
You can find it at The Bedford Pub on Bedford Hill in Balham SW12, on the 1st Saturday of every month. The next one is on the 5th October.
And there's cake! A pop up tea & cake stall run by the lovely ladies from Freedom From Poverty, a charity who helps fund local projects in India.
