We are having a fantastic new class at The Old School Club. Amanda McGillen will be teaching how to sew a Zakka style project. Zakka is a Japanese term that means "many things" and it is used for modern projects using patchwork, applique, embroidery, lace, natural linens and beautiful prints.
You will probably know this term from Rashida Coleman-Hale's book "Zakka Style" where she gathers talented designers around the world to bring 24 delightful Zakka projects.
Amanda brings her own style to the class and will teach you how to prepare, sew and finish a zakka style project. You will be able to make a placemat or a table runner.
Zakka Style class (@ The Old School Club), 15th November, 9.30 - 12.30 (book here)
Materials: £5 to £10 (or you can bring your own)
And now some beautiful projects to get you inspired, don't forget to check our Pinterest board for more projects!
